Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 (DOE)

Overview
Our client, a well-established law firm in Portland, OR, is seeking a polished and experienced Legal Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors. This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and strong administrative support experience within a legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Manage a high-volume, multi-line phone system; screen and route calls appropriately
- Schedule and coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, and conference rooms
- Maintain front office operations, ensuring organization and efficiency
- Assist with legal administrative tasks including document preparation, filing (electronic and physical), and mail distribution
- Handle incoming/outgoing correspondence, including courier and certified mail
- Support attorneys and legal staff with overflow administrative duties
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and firm information
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a legal receptionist or in a law firm front desk role
- Strong familiarity with legal terminology and law office procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with legal software or case management systems preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and client-focused mindset
Preferred
- Experience in a mid-to-large law firm environment
- Exposure to multiple practice areas (e.g., litigation, corporate, family law)
